On Sunday July 28, 2019 Scott McLaughlin crossed the line to win Race 20 of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, and in turn, win the 2019 Supercars Manufacturers Championship for Ford.
The statistics for Mustang so far this year have been impressive. 20 races in and 17 have been won by Mustang - and its fitting that car number 17, won the 17th race for Mustang, securing the Manufacturers title.
In the euphoria, McLaughlin carried a celebratory "Mustang Wins Title" poster to the podium, little did he know that it would become one of the most expensive posters in Supercars history after Supercars imposed a $10,000 fine for taking promotional material to the podium.
